Personality:
Hoshi, on the surface, is fairly easy to read-she's a bit of a spaz, a terrible neat freak, and is terribly sensitive. She'll cry at the slightest misfortune, whether it's real or something she saw on TV. She can have a bit of a one track mind, and often finds herself concentrating so much on one task, that she doesn't notice anything going on around her-even if it's something as simple as chewing bubblegum. She's generally very nice, but too often she jumps to conclusions about people, and they stick with her unless they are shown to her to be dead wrong.

Underneath the surface, however, she has things she tends to hide. There are times when she slips into depression, usually when around both of her parents. She loves them both dearly, but their constant arguments tear her apart, especially since both of them seem to want her on their side. She has an extreme brother complex, and can't help but beat herself up for it, because she's told that loving your sibling is wrong, over and over again. The internal wound is deepened by the fact that her brother pretty much hates her, blaming their parent's divorcee on her.

She's not extremely smart, in fact, she almost constantly fails her core classes, the only exception being literature. She was recently determined to have a mild case of autism, and had to be switched to a special education degree. She tries not to take jabs from the other students by heart, but she just can't help but let them hurt her.

Phobia:
Spiders- She freaks out anytime she sees one.
Slugs/Snails- The same deal with spiders- she freaks out when seeing one, especially if they're leaving a trail of slime behind.
Sailor Terra- While she's not exactly terrified of her trainer, she still feels uneasy around the solitary demonic senshi, especially because the elder senshi doesn't seem to like her too much.
Failing her parents- After all the suffering that she's caused them, she feels like she would be the worst person in the world if she ever failed them again.

Family:
Father (46)- Kazuya Fumei
Mother (40)- Jean Hearlds, formerly Jean Fumei
Older Brother (18)- Taishiro Fumei

History:

Hoshi was born to a Japanese father and an American mother and was raised in Osaka until about the age of five, when her parents moved the family to Chicago.

Her parents marriage was generally frowned on by the rest of the Fumei family, as they didn't believe it was right for one to marry a foreigner. Hoshi's early childhood was filled with many tense showdowns between her father and the rest of his family. It came to the point that they had to move, returning to her mother's hometown. Even at an early age, Hoshi was still able to notice some early tension between her parents.

Because of Hoshi's sensitive nature, she was easily picked on at school. Many of these times she would be found crying afterwards, and was comforted by either her parents or her older brother. Eventually, her parents had enough of seeing their daughter made to be cry, and demanded that there be punishments handed out by the school. The principal responded, but this had a reverse effect on the teasing on Hoshi-it grew worse. This is likely where Hoshi developed the ability to focus so hard on one task, that it blocked everything else out, using it as something of a self-defense mechanism.

By the time she had entered middle school, much of the teasing had let up. However, this is when other problems for Hoshi started up, academically. While she had no problem with reading classes, for she usually read to help block out the taunts tossed her way, she soon found herself falling behind in most of her other classes. Regardless of the amounts of notes she took, material kept on slipping from her head, and her grades dropped dangerously into the failing zone.

Her parents took her to an educational specialist, where she was determined to have a mild form of autism. The rift between her parents truly began here, each of them having differing opinions on how to deal with their child, and neither of them backing down. Her father favored having her put on medication, while her mother refused that, saying it would be too expensive, and wasn't necessary. She could manage to work through it on her own.

Amidst all of this, Hoshi found herself spending more and more time with her brother, and found herself more and more to be clinging to him. She begin to realize that what she was feeling inside for him was something close to the crushes she had on various boys in her class, only far more intense.

With her parents arguments gradually growing worse, and feeling sick in her stomach about the feelings she had for her brother, the now 13-year old girl ran away from home. With no apparent direction in mind, she soon found herself lost in one of the worse parts of the city. After a very close encounter with some rather unsavory characters, she found herself hiding away in an ally, tucked into a little ball in the very corner.

A large commotion and horrible breath, snapped her attention back to reality and she found herself starting face to face with a rather grotesque demon. She let out a scream, wielding her eyes shut once more, screaming so loudly that she almost didn't hear the demon's mangled scream joining her soon after.

Once she managed to pull her eyes opened, she found that the demon had been slain, a long pole axe sticking out from it. The owner, a brown-cloaked woman with green hair, pulled it from it, proceeding to clean the demon blood off of it. From the pockets of her baggy pants, she pulled out a crystal, tossing it down at the demon, and sealing it away. It was then that she turned to Hoshi, looking at her strangely, though most of her expression was obscured by her face mask. She came in closer, kneeling down and staring at the frightened girl in the eyes. Hoshi couldn't help but think that in some ways, this woman was scarier than the demon.

Before the girl could protest, the strange woman took her by the hand and toted her off, a portal appearing in front of them, the two vanishing from the ally in the flash. Hoshi found herself in a strange, Roman-esque room, surrounded by figures in full cloaks of various colors. It was that day that she was told that she was a Sailor Senshi, and that day when she given to Sailor Terra, the strange woman who had saved her, to be trained, much to the older woman's protests.

The matter was settled, and Hoshi was returned to home to bad news-her act of running away had been the final straw with her parents, both of them arguing once again about why it happened, and what should be done about it. They announced they would be getting a divorcee. The custody battle separated her from her brother, who had now come to the conclusion that Hoshi was to blame for this. She wound up living with her father, while her brother went with her mother.

Hoshi turned 14, and entered into high-school on a special education degree and was placed on medication. While she was somewhat excited to see that she was finally starting to do better in school, she was still bogged down by the past. Her senshi training had officially began, causing more chaos in her already twisted life.

Once the light clears, she is left standing there in her fuku, posing with her hands clasped behind her back, her hip slightly out to the side.

Attacks:
As StarDust is just beginning to understand her powers, she's prone to making mistakes.

Star Burst! (Offensive/Defensive, Common): She shouts this, raising her right hand up. Small sparking orbs of silver light energy are formed in her hand, which she then lowers, the orbs shooting off. They can take either two effects-either exploding on the enemy, causing wounds, or being used as flashes to blind the enemy.

Star Entangle! (Defensive, Common): She shouts this, putting her hands out to her side, spinning around once before she closes them back together, eyes closed. She pulls them back outwards, a sparkling net of silver energy forming in her hands, which she then grasps in her left hand, whipping it outwards to wrap and hold the enemy.
