Person: She is very attached to her father, and her younger brother. She is also very fond of Sailor Terra, for without her, she would be gone.

Personality:
Souutsu mostly tends to keep to herself, though she is not entirely anti-social. She takes time to warm up to people, and will listen to those around her talk for a long time before she finally chimes in herself. She prefers to listen than to speak, and usually only does so when she finds she has something worthwhile to say, or someone asks her to. She tries to be polite, but sometimes she can be mistaken as coming off being rude. More often than not, this happens because if someone, or something annoys her, she tends to let it affect her for the rest of the day, speaking (when she speaks) in an annoyed tone, or glaring at people.
She is, however, a good decision maker if not sometimes a slow one. She mulls over every possible side of an issue before she comes to her decision. She always thinks before she attacks. She also likes knowing things about people- the less she knows about someone, such as Sailor Terra, the less she trusts them.
Phobia:
Cats- When she was little, she was bit by a cat, on her ear. She has been afraid of them every since. (It was her fault though, since she was stroking it the wrong way.)

History:
Souutsu was born in Moscow, to Daichi and Alla Byou. Her early childhood was fairly uneventful, the young girl growing up rather happily with her two parents. When she was three, however, things changed. Her mother had complications with her younger brother. Given the choice between aborting the child, or possibly risking her life to carry him to term, she chose the latter. She was ill for much of Souutsu's third and fourth year of life, before she finally passed away when she was five.
Souutsu originally tried to hate her little brother for taking her mother away from her, but as the months turned into years, she found that she simply didn't have it in her. The two developed a very close bond, and both children were attached to their father's hip. For his part, their father doted on both of them, spoiling them both rotten. While in pain from the loss of his wife, he still felt blessed to have two, healthy children to love. He would never leave them alone.
But it seemed that the world didn't want that. Civil war broke out when Souutsu was six, and the government initiated a draft, no exceptions. Not wanting to be caught up on either side of the war, Souutsu's father took her and her little brother, and fled the country. He arrived in New York, taking the first job he could find and changed their last names.
It was difficult to adjust to the new country, especially since no one in the family spoke a word of English. Her father managed to find a free class that taught Russian speakers to speak English, and he passed down his lessons to both of his children. Gradually they began to learn the language, and gradually, the refugees began to blend in with their new home. Souutsu began school there, and later, so did Ryoushi. Her father slowly got better jobs, as more and more refugees started to pour into the now neutral America, all hiding from wars that had broken out in their own home countries.
And life resumed some normalcy for Souutsu. That is, until she turned 13. Everything changed then, as she came home from school to find her living room covered in blood, and her father, and her younger brother, who had been sick that day, dying on the floor. It seemed that the violence that had affected the entire world was now coming to her home, as slowly, the lower classes started to fight amongst one another, a strong racial divide forming in the country.
And that was where she found her, a woman with black wings. Amused at the child, she offered her a deal- Souutsu would let one of her demons infect her, and she would bring her father and brother back to life. At the height of her despair, and not knowing what else to do, she accepted the deal. She slipped into unconsciousness, and awoke back in her bed, her father and brother looking down at her worriedly, telling her that she had taken a bad step and fallen.
Months passed, and she began to think that the strange event was merely a horrible nightmare. However, just as she was beginning to feel secure in that belief, she was gripped by a wave on intense pain-it literally felt like something was ripping apart her mind. She collapsed, the deal she had made with the woman flashing back to her, and she realized that to her horror, that was no nightmare. As her mind gave out, and she slipped into unconsciousness, she let out a cry, sure that she was lost...
Instead, she was later awakened, safe in her bed, an obsidian orb pendent strung around her neck. Another strange woman was at the foot of her bed, staring at her. She introduced herself as Sailor Terra, and explained what had happened to her, and who the black-winged woman was-Sailor Morbid Angel, the Elemental Senshi of Death, on the Dark Council. She continued to explain that she had wanted Souutsu out of the way because she was her counterpart, the Senshi of Death, destined to serve on the Light Council. At that time, the Council had not yet been formed, and Sailor Shikyo became it's second member, as well as the co-head of the council.
She is also perhaps the only council member who actually knows who Sailor Terra is, but she has chosen to keep that information to herself.

Bodice: Black Bodysuit, Sol-Styled.
Collar: Her collar is black, with a white stripe in the middle of it. The collar is trimmed along the bottom in white frill.
Choker: Black, trimmed with white frill.
Front Bow: Her bow is a white cloth, tied into a small looped bow.
Back Bow: A black cloth, tied into a looped bow like her front one.
Gloves: Shikyo wears white arm warmers, which end and begin in frill. She has black cloth tied around the top and the bottom of them, with the ends tied off into small looped bows.
Belt: Black, Sol-styled
Skirt: Shikyo wears a black pleated mini-skirt. Over that, she wears a somewhat torn transparent, dark gray-tinted shroud, which starts one either side of the tip of her belt, leaving an open space down the middle of her skirt and legs.
Footwear: Shikyo wears polished black slipper-like shoes, that are strapped once around her upper ankle.
Extras: Over her legs, she wears white leggings, which start just a few inches below her skirt. Like the ones on her arms, they begin and end in white frill, and the top is wrapped around by a black cloth tying off into a looped bow. The bottom of her leggings stick out over the top of her slippers.
She also wears a white headband over her hair, which is tied together with a white bow.
Henshin:
Shikyo uses no phrase to henshin. She closes her eyes, cupping her hands around an obsidian orb pendent, which from it, waves of dark gray energy emerge. This energy forms a cocoon around her, covering her until she finishes her henshin. The cocoon then recedes, pulling apart and shrinking, until what's left of it becomes the covering over her skirt.
Weapon:
Obsidian Staff: Shikyo carries a 6 foot staff, made of obsidian. On the staff, the pattern of thorns has been carved, which curl together at the top of the staff to form a base to hold what once was her obsidian orb henshin pendent.
Attacks:
Sailor Shikyo has a very specialized duty amongst the Light Council. It is her job to destroy those humans who have become so lost to demonic possession, that there is no hope of ever returning them to normal. It is a grim duty, but because she nearly fell to a demon herself, she knows how important it is, and never takes it lightly, or puts it off.
In order to do this, she must insert the tip of the obsidian orb into the possessed person. The vines on the staff then break off, and wrap around them, the thorns on the vines growing and stabbing into them. The orb glows, sending off a wave of black energy, which travels down the vines and into the person's body, destroying them from the inside out. Overall, it's not a pleasant way to go.
